Sapo and Bonita came to us in 2011 and were less than a year old. Once they reached maturity, Sapo was sent to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium to be a part of their Komodo breeding program as recommended by the Species Survival Plan committee. Cameron Park Zoo sent us their male, Thurber, to be a part of our breeding program here. The goal is to have a healthy and genetically diverse population of Komodo dragons within zoos while learning more about how to help their wild counterparts.
