Reading with Reptiles

Don’t miss our fun and interactive story time series, Reading with Reptiles!

We host this special event the first Saturday of the month, December through March! Storytime starts at 11:00 am and lasts about 30 minutes. Each story features an animal or two that we have at the zoo; afterward, we’ll have an animal encounter, touch opportunity, or other hands-on experience for you to enjoy as well as a fun activity to take home! (scroll down for details on each date/book).

And while you’re here, don’t forget to tour the rest of the zoo and take in a live show!

In addition to story time, you will also have access to the zoo all day! Come early and stay late to explore; with all of our exhibits and live shows, there’s plenty to see and do!

Tickets aren't available at this time - Check Back For Future Dates

Please keep checking back to see when the next Reading with Reptiles will be held. Subscribe to our newsletter for reminders about this and other reptile-tastic events!

NEW: Virtual Admission Available

Can’t make it to the zoo but still want to read the story along with our keepers? No problem! We’re now offering virtual admission tickets to Reading with Reptiles!

Whether it’s physical distance or seasonal illness that may keep you from attending in-person, we’re happy to provide another way to take part in this fun event! We acknowledge that attending virtually is not the same as visiting the zoo, so we’re offering this alternative for only $5 per household/screen.

We want everyone to join us in-person for this fun story time series, but in case something prevents that from happening, we hope you take advantage of this virtual offering!
